Dear Parents,

On behalf of the PTO I would like to thank all the parents that attended the latest PTO meeting.

The meeting focused mainly on the upcoming SAC Grand Opening ceremony on March 8, 2013, that will take place between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Ms. Selvi informed us that she has received positive RSVPs to the "Grand Opening" invitations from a number of public figures and organizations, so it is shaping out to be a grand event on the local Mt Prospect scene. It is the perfect opportunity for us, the parents to ensure even wider popularity of the school by attending the event and inviting friends and associates to it. Ms. Selvi has already attached the invitation in a previous e-mail to the parents, but she will send it again after this e-mail, so anyone who would like to forward it to their friends and business associates may do so.

A number of volunteers are needed in the immediate organization of the event-at least 10 people for the decoration of the school before the event and at least 10 more people are needed for the prepping of the food on the day of the event. The food will be catered, but the set up will have to be done by volunteers.

- A number of parents from the PTO have already signed up to come on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 6:00 PM to help out with decorations and drinks set up, and more volunteers are welcome. Please sign up via email with Ms. Selvi, if you are able to volunteer your time on the evening of the Grand Opening Event. 6:00pm start time on Thursday, March 7th Smile

- Another set of parents have volunteered to act like organizers on the day of the event, they will come to the school in the morning and stay there for the entirety of the school day, taking on tasks as needed. They will have name tags and act as official representatives of the school helping guests with information and assistance. More volunteers are needed in that capacity as well, so please sign up for this as well through Mrs. Selvi's email if you are willing to help with that.

There is a master volunteer sheet at Ms. Selvi's office that outlines the major school events through the end of the school year that need volunteers. It will also be sent in an e-mail to parents. Please look through it and sign at Ms. Selvi's desk if you could volunteer your time for any of the upcoming events.

One such upcoming event that needs volunteers is the scheduled basketball games event that will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during club time, starting February 12, 2013 until March 21, 2013. On March 22, 2013 the highly anticipated Teachers vs. Students Basketball Game will be played. Volunteers are needed for any of those days for refs, concession stand and score keeping. Please sign up through email to Mrs. Jenn for any days you can attend and help. Smile
